The UAF/System Office HR Business Partner at the University of Alaska plays a crucial role in enhancing human resources services across the university system. This position involves collaborating with university leadership to address work challenges, manage change, and improve performance effectiveness. The ideal candidate will leverage their campus experience and HR expertise to foster strong relationships, build morale, and enhance productivity and retention within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with university leadership to strengthen HR services.
  • Coach and support leaders and colleagues on work challenges and change management.
  • Manage performance effectiveness to improve work relationships and morale.
  • Analyze problems and develop effective HR strategies.
  • Engage in labor and employee relations matters.

Requirements

  • 7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and employee relations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree and SHRM certification preferred.
