UAT Analyst

About the position

The UAT Analyst at Freedom Mortgage is responsible for designing and executing the user acceptance testing (UAT) process to ensure that software requirements and business objectives are met. This role involves writing test plans, collaborating with business users, and working closely with development teams to resolve any identified issues during testing. The UAT Analyst plays a crucial role in validating software functionality and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and functional specifications to understand the functional and technical requirements.
• Develop user acceptance test plans by analyzing business requirements and engaging with project team members and subject matter experts.
• Assist UAT lead in designing user acceptance testing process with business users and setting up a testing schedule.
• Test functionality as a business user or alongside business subject matter experts to certify user acceptance criteria.
• Track and correct issues uncovered during testing.
• Collaborate with external and internal development teams to address issues found during UAT and validate corrective actions taken by development.
• Support activities throughout the software development life cycle.
• Collaborate and support business analysts and business representatives during the requirements elicitation process.
• Validate UAT scenarios, create test data, and monitor defects during UAT and production validation activities.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience working in software quality assurance and/or UAT roles.
• 3 years of experience in Software Testing (QA/UAT).
• 3 years of experience in traditional and agile software development life cycle.
