About the position

The UAT Test Engineer at Magna will be responsible for leading user acceptance testing activities within the Software Platform team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of software solutions that enhance material handling workflows through various technologies. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage comprehensive testing plans, ensuring that all business requirements are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed and comprehensive test plans and artifacts by analyzing System Design Document (SRD) and Business Requirement Document (BRD).
• Prepare test documentation and maintain standards to meet quality assurance, security, operations, compliance, and control requirements.
• Perform defect analysis (Root Cause Analysis) and escalate issues as required, collaborating with developers for resolution and verification.
• Participate in Agile Scrum teams to assist with the design, development, and implementation of new features.
• Engage in testing and release management activities in UAT and Production environments.
• Collaborate with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful business testing that meets project needs.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand overall program scope and its testing implications.

Requirements

• BTech or equivalent bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with an MBA.
• At least 7 years of experience in the software testing domain, with 3 years in planning and managing test plans across multiple projects.
• Experience in Agile/Sprint delivery testing methodology.
• Experience in the IoT/Automotive industry.
• Proficient in detailed planning and management of business testing.
• Experience in conducting meetings related to testing with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proficiency in presentations to senior management.
• Proactive in engaging with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
