About the position

The UI Angular Developer position at Truist is a hybrid role that involves delivering highly complex solutions with significant system linkages and dependencies. The developer will be responsible for performing various development efforts, including analysis, design, coding, and supporting testing. This role requires participation in the testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of Truist's most complex solutions. Development tasks include customized coding, software integration, and configuring solutions using relevant tools. The developer must ensure adherence to company and industry standards while devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems, taking into account computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. In this role, the developer will interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices. They will utilize sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Acting as an Agile champion, the developer will be responsible for delivering high-quality working software and automating manual tasks while consulting with the business from the design phase. Continuous engineering practices will be leveraged to deliver business value effectively. The developer will actively participate in refining user stories, develop unit tests, support integration and functional testing, and provide warranty support along with knowledge transfer to production support. Code development will be in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of Truist's complex solutions.
  • Perform development tasks including customized coding, software integration, and configuring solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices.
  • Use analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.

  • Automate manual/reusable tasks and consult with the business from the design phase.
  • Participate in refining user stories and develop unit tests.
  • Support integration and functional testing, providing warranty support and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 to 7 years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience developing responsive web-based applications in multiple UI technologies using Angular.
  • Experience in developing UI and Prototype using HTML5, CSS, SCC Angular 12+, Javascript, Jquery, Bootstrap, NodeJS and other NPM packages.
  • Experience in integrating REST and SOAP based services.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning, Scaling, Security, Resiliency Best Practices.
  • Experience with one or more Test Frameworks and Capabilities & Tools: Jasmine, Selenium, Cucumber.
  • Experience in building Cloud native applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD implementation, configuration management and orchestration tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, TerraForm or Harness.
  • Experience in debugging distributed systems with high data loads.
  • Working experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies specifically in SAFe.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of the business units and how these needs can be addressed through technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced variable environment.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
