About the position

The UI Designer/Front-end Developer at Cloud and Things Inc. will play a crucial role in transforming the public sector's IT environment by creating engaging user experiences across various platforms. This position involves collaborating with engineers and business partners to shape product vision and deliver cohesive narratives that enhance customer journeys.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and business partners to create user experiences that engage and transform customer journeys.
• Shape the vision for products and drive cohesive narratives across multiple platforms.
• Develop and design user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Create overall information architecture, user stories, workflows, wireframes, clickable prototypes, and final visual designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a UI Designer or Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile projects.
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Strong knowledge of front-end development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material UI).
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to think conceptually and systematically, considering the 'big picture' and designing for scalability while ensuring quality and detail at a granular level.
• Knowledge of backend technologies like Node.js or familiarity with APIs and integration.
• Sharp written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a rationale for design decisions to senior leadership.
• Understanding of design decisions and its impact on application development.
