About the position

Aquent is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a UI Designer to join our team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States, but you must be available to work Central Time Zone hours daily. As a UI Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design phase of various projects, collaborating closely with strategists from the initial wireframe stage through to the final design handoff. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality, user-centered designs that not only meet user needs but also align with business objectives. You will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and drive conversion rates across digital platforms. In this role, you will lead the design process, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality and reflect innovative design solutions. You will create impactful UX and visual design deliverables, including wireframes, UI visual designs, and websites tailored for lead generation and B2B e-commerce. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that design elements are seamlessly integrated into the product development process. Your ability to effectively communicate and present your designs to clients will be essential, as will your skill in gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to your work. To be successful in this position, you should have a strong portfolio that showcases your UX/UI design skills and creative thinking. You will need to demonstrate your attention to detail and organizational skills, as you will be managing multiple projects simultaneously. While coding skills are not required, a basic understanding of HTML and CSS will help facilitate effective collaboration with the development team. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about creating exceptional user experiences in the digital space.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the successful launch of projects by delivering high-quality designs on time and ensuring they meet both user needs and business goals.
  • Create intuitive, user-friendly designs that improve user satisfaction and engagement across all digital platforms.
  • Design interfaces that attract and retain users, leading to increased conversion rates and overall user retention.
  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of UX/UI elements in the product development process.
  • Lead the design process from concept to final implementation, ensuring high-quality and innovative design solutions.
  • Create impactful UX and visual design deliverables, such as wireframes, UI visual designs, lead-generation-focused websites, and B2B e-commerce websites.
  • Work closely with project managers, strategists, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate and present designs to clients, clearly explain UX/UI decisions, and gather feedback in close collaboration with the team.
  • Provide accurate estimates of the effort required to create deliverables.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in designing websites across multiple devices, with a strong emphasis on layout, typography, color, media, and accessibility.
  • B2B design experience.
  • Attention to detail in your work.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to facilitate effective collaboration with the development team.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks on different projects.
  • Strong portfolio highlighting your UX/UI design skills and creative thinking.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator).
  • Extensive experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a marketing or web development agency.
  • Experience working in the Life Science industry.
  • CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) experience.
  • Familiarity with WordPress page builders (Gutenberg, Oxygen).
  • Lottie - Animation experience.
