About the position

The UI Developer and Designer position at Crossvale is a hybrid role focused on creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces using Angular. The ideal candidate will combine technical skills in front-end development with a strong design sensibility to enhance user experience across various devices. This role involves leading the design and prototyping of user interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in UI/UX design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and prototyping of high-quality user interfaces that are aesthetically pleasing and functional.
  • Build, test, and maintain robust front-end code using Angular for dynamic web applications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of front-end designs.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
  • Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and design technologies.
  • Work closely with back-end developers for API integration into the UI.
  • Utilize HTML and CSS for visually appealing layouts.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of UI elements for optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand project objectives.
  • Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
  • Manage codebase using version control systems (Git).
  • Debug and fix reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain code quality and documentation for future reference.
  • Implement best practices in front-end performance and accessibility.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular (preferably the latest version).
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design with a portfolio showcasing user-centric interfaces.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout principles, and white space usage.
  • Experience with usability testing and gathering feedback for design iteration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for pixel-perfect designs.
  • Understanding of WCAG guidelines for accessibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with animation or motion graphics for interactive designs.
  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
