The UI Developer II will be responsible for creating highly functional and responsive websites based on various design artifacts, including mockups and wireframes, while adhering to product and technical requirements. This role also includes production support, where the developer will identify and resolve production issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to services. In addition to development tasks, the UI Developer II will engage in creating design documentation, unit tests, and documenting requirements to maintain clarity and consistency throughout the development process. Troubleshooting is a significant part of the role, as the developer will need to diagnose and resolve application and database errors that occur in the production environment. The position requires participation in design and code reviews, which fosters a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. The developer will also stay updated on development methodologies and technological advancements, ensuring that MTM remains at the forefront of innovation in the industry. Collaboration is key in this role, as the UI Developer II will work with various departments to find solutions to reported production issues and may also participate in training or customer support activities as needed. Quality assurance activities are part of the responsibilities, ensuring that the applications meet the highest standards before deployment. The developer must be available for on-call support, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining the integrity and functionality of the applications at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly functional, responsive websites based on mockups, wireframes, design artifacts, product and technical requirements using React
  • Create design documentation, unit tests and document requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely fashion
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot application/database errors occurring in the production environment
  • Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Research and identify cause of reported defects and issues
  • Stay abreast of development methodologies and advances in technology
  • Work with other departments, as needed, to find solutions to reported Production issues
  • Participate in training and/or customer support activities as needed
  • Perform and assist with quality assurance activities as needed
  • Be available for on-call support as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Associates Degree or specialized technical certification, or relevant work experience with 3-5 years software development experience
  • 3-5 years experience in React V16 or greater
  • 1 year of experience in Jenkins
  • Experience working in AWS Environment
  • Experience with Yarn and NPM
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Expertise in UI Development with strong user centric design
  • Ability to balance business and technical objectives when making decisions
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices around coding standards
  • Desire to learn and contribute
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of responsive design and its implementation
  • Ability to build reusable components to add to our component library
  • Working knowledge of git or other version control tools
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tool
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology
  • Strong understanding of ADA compliance standards
