About the position

The UI Developer III position at TEKsystems involves working closely with a telecommunications client to develop and maintain user interfaces. The role requires a strong background in front-end development, particularly with JavaScript, Typescript, Node, React, and NextJS. The developer will be responsible for translating designs into functional code, managing projects through various stages, and ensuring high-quality standards in software applications. This is a hybrid contract position requiring on-site work in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS/JS
• Manage projects through design, development, and QA phases
• Work with various CMS and ecommerce systems
• Code software applications to meet internal and external requirements
• Standardize quality assurance procedures for software
• Oversee testing and develop fixes
• Work on redesign and maintenance projects impacting customer experience
• Develop new user-facing features
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability
• Validate user input before submission to back-end
• Participate in code reviews
• Enable and configure necessary plugins for site functionality
• Identify blockers and apply creative solutions
• Stay updated on current trends in web development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Front End Development
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, Node, React, NextJS
• Bachelor's degree in a related area (may be required)
• Knowledge of standard concepts and practices in front-end development
• Ability to work collaboratively with back-end developers
