About the position

The UI Developer position at Diverse Lynx LLC is a critical role that focuses on creating dynamic and responsive web applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various frameworks such as Vue and React. This role requires a deep understanding of web accessibility standards, particularly ADA compliance, ensuring that all applications are usable by individuals with disabilities. The developer will work closely with UX designers to translate wireframes into functional user interfaces, proactively identifying design risks and optimizing the user experience for high-traffic websites. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should be familiar with version control systems, particularly GIT and Bitbucket, and have experience with front-end design patterns and principles such as Responsive Web Design, MVC, and BEM. A solid grasp of AJAX for fetching data from service endpoints is essential, as is proficiency in semantic HTML and CSS3, including SASS. The role also involves using various front-end and accessibility tools, such as Devtools and JAWS, to ensure that applications meet performance and accessibility standards. The UI Developer will also be expected to have a working knowledge of Java SDK, Spring Boot, and REST services, as well as a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and tools will be beneficial in delivering high-quality applications that perform well under load. This position is based in Plano, TX, and requires on-site presence to facilitate collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue and React.
• Ensure web applications are ADA compliant and accessible to all users.
• Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes into functional user interfaces.
• Identify design risks proactively and optimize user experience for high-traffic websites.
• Utilize version control systems like GIT and Bitbucket for code management.
• Implement front-end design patterns and principles such as Responsive Web Design and MVC.
• Fetch data from service endpoints using AJAX to render dynamic content.
• Use front-end and accessibility tools to ensure application performance and compliance.
• Optimize web applications for performance using techniques like image compression and lazy loading.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and related technologies.

Requirements

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with Node and Vue; React is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ADA compliance and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).
• Familiarity with GIT distributed version control and Bitbucket.
• Solid understanding of front-end design patterns and principles.
• Experience with AJAX and fetching data from service endpoints.
• Proficient in semantic HTML and CSS3 (SASS).
• Experience with front-end and accessibility tools such as Devtools and JAWS.
• Comfortable reviewing UX wireframes and building corresponding UI efficiently.
• Familiarity with performance optimization tools and techniques.
• Working knowledge of Java SDK, Spring Boot, and REST services.
