About the position

The UI Developer will be responsible for creating user interfaces for web applications within the Java Development Team. This role involves utilizing programming languages and frameworks to enhance the usability and accessibility of websites, ensuring compliance with established UI guidelines and web standards.

Responsibilities

• Create user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, and Angular.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
• Ensure websites meet web standards and are accessible to people with disabilities.
• Conform to established UI guidelines.
• Work with RESTful APIs to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in front end/UI development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript.
• Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries like Angular or React.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to collaborate with backend application developers and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UI development best practices and coding standards.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience in front end/UI development.
• Deep understanding of front-end optimization techniques.
• Experience in making Accessibility Testing Tools for complying with ADA and Section 508 Standards.
• Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
• Familiarity with TypeScript or other typed languages.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Karma).
• Good troubleshooting skills.
