About the position

The UI-Front End Developer at Amentum is responsible for analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes to identify and resolve problem areas. This role involves modifying existing software, designing and implementing complex database interfaces, and ensuring the functionality and optimization of software applications and user interfaces. The developer will work closely with team members to conduct root cause analysis, develop technical specifications, and provide comprehensive support to internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes to investigate problem areas.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
• Design and update software applications, websites, data communication processes, and user interfaces.
• Test, maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Independently install, customize, and integrate commercial software packages.
• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and perform unit testing.
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
• Resolve complex technical design issues.
• Develop technical specifications and plans.
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents.
• Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges.
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers.
• Achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in programming.
• Use a variety of internet technologies, techniques, and tools such as object-oriented languages (e.g., Java Script, HTML, XML, MVC, .NET, SQL, Team Foundation Server) to create web page elements such as user interface features.
• Active TS/SCI with CI poly.
