Our client is currently seeking a UI Interaction Designer who will play a pivotal role in defining the mood, tone, look, and feel of future products and services. The ideal candidate will translate this direction into high-quality experience prototypes that are not only easy to use but also delightful. This position requires the designer to elevate and maintain visual design standards through direct contributions across a wide range of design outputs and mediums. This includes designing consumer applications and bringing patient journeys to life through visual storytelling. The UI Interaction Designer will provide well-rationalized direction and critique to inspire other designers, fostering elegant and innovative solutions across the design portfolio. A high level of accountability, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to prioritize workload efficiently is essential to deliver results. The designer will contribute thought leadership and a strategic design perspective to help the organization keep pace with the evolution of the design industry, including best practices, new trends, and technologies. In this role, the designer will present and persuasively communicate design rationale across various stakeholder groups. They will craft engaging and innovative interfaces that balance strong aesthetics with clear functionality across different platforms, including web and mobile. The designer will deliver a wide range of design artifacts at all fidelities, from paper sketches and concept boards to refined interfaces and prototypes. They will develop strong visual concepts and experiences from scratch to generate excitement for and commitment to early-stage products and features. Additionally, the designer will contribute to the creation of editorial design assets, such as communication materials, presentations, or internal brand materials. Attention to detail and a passion for all aspects of design and visual storytelling, including typography, motion, copy, and art direction, are crucial. The designer should understand component-based design systems and know when to adhere to existing patterns and styles and when to break constraints. The designer will also be responsible for updating and creating UI elements in Figma based on UX requirements and assisting developers with the design handoff of the latest UI. Current activities include assisting in creating wireframes for new multi-document functionality and collaborating with team members on the design of these wireframes. Envisioned key activities involve assisting in designing new AI pattern components with the LDS team.
