About the position

As a UI/React JS Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our platform that delivers trade, position, and risk datasets to various internal consumers, including Trading, Risk Management, Finance, and Regulatory functions. This role requires a strong understanding of both frontend and backend development, as you will be working as a full stack developer. You will be involved in the design and development of applications that are crucial for the business deliverables, which include projects like Voice Pricer, Glass 2.0, and UI/UX improvements. Given the current thinness of the team, your contributions will be vital in meeting the business deliverable needs effectively. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in web technologies, particularly with ReactJS, ES6, and NodeJS. Proficiency in Python is also required, as it will be used in conjunction with React for building robust applications. You will be expected to have hands-on experience in developing real-time applications, which is essential for the dynamic nature of the datasets being handled. Additionally, familiarity with desired skills such as Rust, WebAssembly, Docker, OpenShift, and WebSockets will be beneficial in enhancing the overall performance and capabilities of the applications you develop.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the platform for delivering trade, position, and risk datasets.
• Develop frontend and backend components of the application as a full stack developer.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Trading, Risk Management, Finance, and Regulatory functions to understand their needs.
• Implement UI/UX improvements to enhance user experience.
• Work on business deliverables such as Voice Pricer and Glass 2.0.
• Utilize ReactJS, ES6, and NodeJS in application development.
• Write and maintain Python code for backend services.
• Develop real-time applications to support dynamic data handling.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in web technologies including ReactJS, ES6, and NodeJS.
• Proficient in Python programming language.
• Hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development.
• Experience in building real-time applications.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Rust programming language.
• Familiarity with WebAssembly.
• Knowledge of Docker and OpenShift for containerization.
• Understanding of data structures and WebSockets.
