As a UI Scripter / Front End Developer for NCAA College Football at Electronic Arts, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user interface of one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with a diverse team of UI technical designers, artists, UX designers, and software engineers to develop and implement the user interface for the game. This position requires a strong commitment to best practices in UI architecture, focusing on organization, reusability, and the ability to develop for a live product that is easily updatable. You will be an advocate for user experience, ensuring product consistency and design excellence throughout the development process. In this role, you will work closely with the UI team to solve problems, refine workflows, and polish the UI, creating an outstanding user experience from concept to ship. You will utilize both proprietary software and third-party technologies to implement the visual design of the UI and HUD within the game. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and enjoyment of the gaming experience for millions of players. To succeed in this position, you will need to have a solid foundation in UI technical design and implementation, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. You should possess expert knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, ActionScript, C#, Swift, and HAXE, which are essential for building complex user interfaces. A good understanding of UX methodology and design theory is also crucial, as is experience in developing projects from concept to completion. A portfolio showcasing your relevant work, demonstrating a well-thought-out process and excellent craft execution, will be an important part of your application. A BS or BA degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design, or a related area is preferred.
