About the position

Group W, Inc. is seeking a mid-level UI/UX Design Specialist to enhance user experiences for government websites and applications. This role involves researching and streamlining products for a DoD organization as part of a digital transformation initiative. The specialist will design user interfaces, create prototypes, and collaborate with developers to implement solutions, applying agile practices to modernize existing features.

Responsibilities

• Research and streamline products for a DoD organization supporting overall digital transformation initiatives
• Design screens that make up digital user interfaces, individual elements, and overall layout
• Create highly dependable prototypes for inspection and review
• Perform hands-on design work and interactive design
• Create wireframes and prototypes while working with developers to implement solutions

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• 7+ years' experience analyzing and developing requirements for hardware, software tools and applications, or IT-related infrastructure
• Knowledge and experience with fundamental visual, interaction, and UX design principles and processes
• Certification in UX Design
• Experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Nice-to-haves

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
