About the position

The UI/UX Designer at IT Concepts will be responsible for creating visually appealing and functional user interfaces and experiences for a DOD SOCOM opportunity. This role combines elements of visual design, psychology, and technology to deliver seamless user experiences, ensuring accessibility and usability across various platforms. The designer will conduct research, create wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to implement designs that meet user needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Create user interfaces and experiences that are visually appealing and functional.
• Conduct research to understand SIE/operator needs, preferences, and behaviors.
• Design user-friendly interfaces that meet target audience expectations.
• Create wireframes and prototypes to visualize design and functionality before development.
• Assist in designing visual elements of the interface, including layout, color schemes, typography, and icons.
• Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure correct implementation of designs.
• Ensure designs are accessible to all users, following best practices and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Design, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience for Junior level; 3-10 years for Journeyman level; 10+ years for Senior level.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with design thinking methodologies.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
