About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Graphic Designer to ensure visual and graphic representation of the Bank's brand and create compelling static and interactive data visualizations. This role involves collaborating with various teams to design user-friendly technology solutions that meet business needs, producing artifacts for user interfaces, and maintaining a cohesive style guide for digital media across the Bank's properties.

Responsibilities

• Execute design from requirements gathering to handoff to developers.
• Create user flows, wireframes, visual designs, site maps, storyboards, and prototypes.
• Conduct stakeholder presentations and design/prototype reviews.
• Design artifacts that work on various browsers and devices.
• Produce designs compliant with web accessibility guidelines.
• Enforce adherence to style standards and participate in all phases of the product lifecycle.
• Help maintain a cohesive Style Guide for digital media.
• Oversee design for web enhancements and visual content.
• Incorporate UI and UX best practices into design and production.
• Lead design and wireframe reviews, proposing solutions to increase engagement.
• Assess new digital communications technologies and offer recommendations.
• Conceptualize and articulate user-centered interactions and balance business needs with technology capabilities.
• Exhibit product ownership and present work to stakeholders.
• Assist on analysis initiatives, including executing surveys and drafting implementation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Experience using wire-framing techniques for navigation and user flow.
• Experience with user research and stakeholder requirements gathering.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in graphic design, including data presentation and visualization.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience designing enterprise sites and applications, responsive interfaces, and email campaigns.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience implementing designs and creating prototypes in an agile environment.
• An online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design experience and expertise in user-centric design.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
• Experience with prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq, InVision).
• Detailed knowledge of design principles affecting typography, color use, and composition.
• Solid knowledge of interactive and static data visualization.
• Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript design patterns.
