About the position

The UI/UX Designer at DCS Corp is responsible for enhancing user interface and user experience across various projects within the Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS). This role involves collaborating with software development teams to ensure UI/UX consistency, creating engaging video content, and developing UI/UX guidelines to optimize user workflows for fielded targeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex UI/UX problems in coordination with the software development team.
• Analyze and optimize user workflows via UI/UX for fielded targeting tools.
• Coordinate with multiple development teams on UI/UX consistency.
• Develop and update UI/UX guides for software development.
• Create various UI elements inherent in software development, such as logos and icons.
• Create video content including demonstrations and tutorials.
• Improve software intuitiveness in collaboration with human factors teams.
• Represent DPSS in UI/UX oriented meetings with external collaborative development teams.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, oral communication, writing, and planning skills.
• Ability to create engaging video content that effectively communicates software functionality and operational use cases.
• Proficiency in tools such as Axure, Gimp, Paint 3D, Photoshop, Camtasia, Snipping Tool, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Open to learning frontend programming/GUI programming.
• Interest in building Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) controls utilizing XAML and an introduction to C#.
