About the position

As a UI/UX Designer at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance the usability and accessibility of our applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into design specifications. Your expertise in user-centered design principles will guide the development of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts. In this role, you will conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs. You will analyze user behavior and leverage analytics to inform design decisions, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our users. Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our design processes and outcomes. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining design systems and style guides that ensure consistency across our product suite. Your ability to advocate for the user and communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential in driving design excellence within the organization. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to analyze user behavior and leverage analytics for design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in designing for government or defense-related applications.
