About the position
The UI / UX Designer role at the Innovate Ohio Platform (IOP) focuses on managing and evolving the design system while creating intuitive user experiences. This hybrid position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products that enhance public services in Ohio. The designer will lead design operations, create interactive prototypes, and ensure accessibility and inclusivity in design practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the design system by conducting weekly Design Operations meetings and managing the product roadmap.
- Create interactive prototypes for websites, products, and components, refining designs based on user testing and feedback.
- Guide external designers in promoting user experience philosophy and best practices for design system components.
- Define, document, and communicate design guidelines, patterns, and standards.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and feedback through discussions and design reviews with internal and external teams.
- Advocate for inclusive design practices, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards.
