About the position

As a UI/UX Designer at Walker & Dunlop's WDTech organization, you will play a crucial role in researching and designing digital products that enhance the experiences of both customers and internal teams in the commercial real estate investment process. This position involves collaborating with product designers, product managers, and developers to create intuitive user interfaces and support the R&D process through rapid iterations and prototyping, ensuring that digital experiences are user-friendly and effective.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Designers and cross-functional partners in the research and design of financial applications.
• Create early concept mockups, component designs, and engage in rapid iteration and prototyping based on initiatives.
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes effectively to stakeholders.
• Craft detailed design specifications for development teams.
• Conduct design quality assurance and partner with developers to ensure efficient implementation of designs.
• Assist in the enhancement and maintenance of the WDTech design system, ensuring its flexibility and simplicity.
• Build relationships with business stakeholders and the R&D organization to advocate for user needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing financial service applications.
• An online portfolio showcasing UI-focused work samples for web and mobile applications, including 2-3 detailed case studies.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including users, product managers, UX designers, developers, and data scientists.
• Ability to manage and prioritize work across organizational boundaries with a collaborative approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developing generalized end-to-end product design experience.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as TailwindCSS & VueJS.
