About the position

The UI/UX Developer position at Amazee Global Ventures Inc. is a contract role focused on leading and architecting front-end development for enterprise-class applications. The role requires extensive experience in UI development, particularly with Angular and similar frameworks, and involves participation in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, design best practices, and accessibility compliance, with a focus on creating responsive and scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain enterprise-class applications using Angular and/or similar frameworks.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle).
• Implement Authentication and Authorization, and Caching strategies in UI development.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise-level Front End/UI applications.
• Implement client-facing applications with responsive design and development.
• Develop single-page applications (SPAs) using JavaScript or libraries/frameworks like Angular.
• Create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Ensure application user interface compliance with ADA/Accessibility standards.
• Implement best practices in application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct test-driven development and create tests using frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Front End/UI development.
• Hands-on experience with HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven, and other UI frameworks/libraries.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, performance, caching, and scalability issues in web-based UI applications.
• Experience in developing and testing application user interfaces for ADA/Accessibility Compliance.
• Experience in implementing best practices in application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot Java Applications.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum).
• Experience with web applications developed for Cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD methodology.
• Development experience for mobile and tablet platforms.
