The role involves creating interfaces that are usable by people of all abilities and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities: Inclusive Design: Design interfaces that meet the needs of diverse user groups, including individuals with disabilities. Accessibility Audits: Conduct audits to identify and fix accessibility issues in existing applications. WCAG Compliance: Ensure all designs meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Assistive Technologies: Test interfaces with assistive technologies like screen readers and keyboard navigation. Training & Advocacy: Advocate for inclusive design practices within the organization and train teams on accessibility standards. Experience and Qualifications: Experience: 8+ years in UI/UX development with a focus on accessibility. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of ARIA, semantic HTML, and CSS. Compliance Standards: Familiarity with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG. Empathy: A deep understanding of diverse user needs and the ability to design with empathy.
