About the position
The position involves developing user-facing features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery. The role requires collaboration with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with server-side logic, building reusable code and libraries for future use, and ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Additionally, the candidate will optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, lead the design and development of user interfaces for web applications, and work closely with business stakeholders and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback from users to continuously improve the user experience is also a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop user-facing features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (including jQuery).
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with server-side logic.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Lead the design and development of user interfaces for web applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users to continuously improve the user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
- Proficiency in web markup, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Bootstrap framework for building responsive and mobile-first websites.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a drive to explore new ideas and concepts.
- Portfolio of previous UI/UX design projects demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Candidate must be local to South Florida, this is an onsite role Monday-Friday.
