About the position

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a UI/UX Engineer L2 to join our team in Northridge, CA. This hybrid position allows for up to three days in the office and two days remote each week, providing a flexible work environment. The role is a 12-month term with the possibility of renewal in six-month increments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Amazon Kuiper's Secure Network Operations Center by developing and delivering interactive models, user interfaces, and application outlines using sketches and diagrams. In this position, you will analyze software designs for usability and conduct user experience testing to ensure that final webpage and application designs meet user needs. Collaboration with development teams is essential, as you will address issues and implement effective solutions to enhance the secure network operations center's functionality. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience and overall success of our projects. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver interactive models, including user interfaces and application outlines using sketches and diagrams.
• Analyze software designs for usability and conduct user experience testing for final webpage and application designs.
• Work closely with development teams to address issues and implement effective solutions in support of the secure network operations center.
• Perform design analysis to identify usability issues and collect customer feedback to improve UI/UX design.
• Analyze existing designs and create usability upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software/computer engineering or a similar technical field is required.
• 4+ years of experience in interactive model development.
• 4+ years of experience in the development of preliminary user interfaces.
• 4+ years of experience in developing application outlines using sketches and diagrams.
• 4+ years of experience in performing design analysis to identify usability issues and collect customer feedback to improve UI/UX design.
• 4+ years of experience in analyzing existing designs and creating usability upgrades.
• 4+ years of experience in performing user experience testing.
