About the position

As a Product Designer at Marsh, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products. This position requires a deep understanding of UX/UI best practices and technology, as well as a commitment to staying current with the latest trends and innovative approaches in design. Your primary responsibility will be to design the overall functionality of our products and continuously refine them to enhance user experience. Your efforts will be instrumental in making our products more user-friendly and intuitive, which is essential for attracting and retaining customers. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate closely with both business users and technical teams. You will discuss technical concepts and devise solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders. You will also be responsible for detecting design challenges and developing sophisticated solutions to address them. Your work will involve creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts, as well as making strategic design and UX decisions for both core and new functionalities and features. You will define the right interaction model and evaluate its success, ensuring that all designs adhere to brand guidelines and utilize established UX/UI design patterns. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and best practices, ensuring that your work reflects the highest standards of quality and innovation. This position is based in the Phoenix, AZ office and is an onsite role, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving our design goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design the overall functionality of the product and continuously refine it to enhance user experience.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts.
  • Make strategic design and UX decisions for both core and new functionalities and features.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand design requirements and project goals.
  • Detect design challenges and develop sophisticated solutions.
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and utilize UX/UI design patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and best practices.
  • Work with methodologies and processes such as Agile, Design Thinking, and User-Centered Design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience working in UX/UI roles.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design skills and experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience in application of UX trends, methodologies, and expert skill with UX tools.
  • Experience in UI component libraries and frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and its best practices.
  • Knowledge of Responsive Design.
