About the position

The UI/UX Software Developer role at AMDEX Corporation focuses on designing and developing user interfaces and experiences for applications, ensuring they meet user requirements and adhere to design standards. The position involves collaboration with product managers and engineers to create effective design solutions that enhance user interaction and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets.
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Suggest and design interactive components.
• Provide visualization expertise.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
• Assure section 508 compliance.
• Collaborate with 508 for EPLC related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Developer or Web Developer.
• Complete knowledge of programming languages like CSS, C++, and Javascript.
• Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, and Magento.
• Knowledge of website aesthetic practices and UI/UX designs.
• Full-stack experience in developing applications and software.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI technologies and practices.
• Understanding of design programs like Adobe Photoshop and Affinity Designer.
