About the position

As a UI/UX Lead at Booz Allen, you will oversee the design and user experience efforts across various products. This role focuses on creating engaging and intuitive user experiences that drive business outcomes. You will collaborate with product leads, strategic integrators, delivery managers, and end users to develop scalable interface design patterns, leading the full spectrum of the digital creative process including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and user experience efforts across products.
  • Lead the full spectrum of the digital creative process including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design.
  • Work closely with product leads, strategic integrators, delivery managers, and end users to deliver scalable interface design patterns.
  • Design and develop engaging and intuitive user experiences for SaaS, COTS, and web software applications.
  • Manage processes for gathering user and stakeholder feedback on existing UX and design ideas to iterate on design.
  • Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative user research.
  • Develop and communicate design ideas through prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and other design deliverables.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, creating intuitive, accessible user experiences for SaaS, COTS, and web software applications.
  • Experience with designing short- and long-term UX vision and strategy for products and applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Lucid, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience with modern web standards and front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Ability to lead and communicate design concepts across different audiences and varying levels within an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or Computer Science.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with or creating design systems to ensure consistency and reuse across products.
  • Experience with user research techniques and methodologies.
  • Ability to display an online portfolio of work samples highlighting expertise in UI/UX design and front-end development.
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking skills.
