About the position

The Cornett UI/Web Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and designing interactive and digital projects, including websites, mobile apps, and email designs. This role emphasizes creating responsive designs that align with client branding while ensuring a seamless user experience through effective UI design and front-end development skills.

Responsibilities

• Create responsive web designs that align with client aesthetic and brand guidelines.
• Work on large-scale websites through various design phases from wireframing to final mockups.
• Design mobile applications and email layouts, including build-out and testing.
• Communicate design thinking and rationale behind design choices effectively.
• Exhibit strong user interface (UI) concepting skills.
• Collaborate with art directors and copywriters to complete assigned projects and campaigns.
• Maintain proficiency in design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Occasionally build pages in CMS platforms like Drupal and WordPress.
• Review front-end web developers' work for quality assurance.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing larger and smaller tasks.
• Research emerging platforms and integrate findings into client projects.

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an agency setting.
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Proficient in Figma for mobile app and website designs.
• Experience with at least one CMS platform: Drupal, WordPress, Webflow, Craft, or SimpleView.
• Understanding of current technology constraints and how to maximize design within those limits.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with art direction.
• Familiarity with design thinking methodologies.
• Knowledge of micro-animation techniques.
