About the position

EssilorLuxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fashion, luxury, and sports eyewear. The Ultra Luxury Brand Ambassador will play a crucial role in maximizing quality brand distribution to achieve both sales and image goals for their brands across their designated territory. This position requires the development of customer business plans that effectively balance both sell-in and sell-through efforts. The Brand Ambassador will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and driving standards with distribution, training events, productivity, and merchandising to provide best-in-class customer service. The Ultra Luxury Brand Ambassador will achieve quarterly sales targets, average unit price, distribution, and door productivity targets for their respective brands. They will partner closely with the local synergy team to coordinate business and customer relationships effectively. The role involves developing and adhering to an effective call cycle to achieve the desired service frequency within independent accounts, ensuring at least two visits per quarter. Building strong working relationships at all levels within the practices and businesses they manage, including doctors, opticians, and store managers, is essential. Additionally, the Brand Ambassador will drive assortment plans with customers, successfully onboard all customers with pre-booking for each collection, and proactively manage all facets of distribution within the designated territory. This includes audit management, openings, closings, and parallel cases. Ensuring brand visual merchandising standards are met and refreshing POP materials to elevate the brand is also a key responsibility. The Brand Ambassador will utilize all brand materials to conduct regular staff training, reinforcing knowledge and ensuring consistent messaging to patients and consumers. The role also involves cultivating the existing customer base while partnering with the local sales team to prospect for new potential in the market. Developing and conducting trunk shows and other consumer events to create brand awareness and drive sales is part of the job. Acting as an ambassador of the Ultra Luxury brands, the Brand Ambassador will ensure customers adhere to established brand standards, maintaining brand equity.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves quarterly sales, average unit price, distribution and door productivity targets for respective brands
  • Partners closely with the local synergy team for coordination of the business and customer relationship as a whole
  • Develops and adheres to effective call cycle to achieve desired service frequency within independent accounts to meet indicated sales objectives; at least twice a quarter
  • Builds strong working relationship at all levels within the practices and businesses they manage (doctor, optician, store manager, etc)
  • Drives assortment plans with customers
  • Successfully on-boards all customers with pre-booking with each collection
  • Proactively manages all facets of distribution within the designated territory; audit management, openings, closings and parallel cases
  • Ensures brand visual merchandising standards are met; refreshes & leverages POP materials to elevate the brand & ensures best positioning within the POS
  • Utilizes all brand materials to conduct regular staff trainings to reinforce knowledge and ensure message to the patient/ consumer is translated consistently with brand standards
  • Cultivates existing customer base while partnering with the local sales team on prospecting for new potential in the market

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 5 years of direct sales experience with proven track record of results
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent training and presentation skills
  • Strong visual merchandising background
  • Strong ability to problem solve, anticipate challenges in advance, and propose solutions
  • Deep understanding and interest in fashion and luxury goods
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly professional and strong fashion sense
  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills
  • Team player with strong leadership qualities
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Significant field time required with overnights
  • Valid driver's license
