About the position

The Ultra-Pure Water Engineer position at Parsons involves working on large infrastructure projects, particularly in the semiconductor industry. The role requires a versatile and enthusiastic engineer who can thrive in team-oriented environments and handle complex engineering assignments related to Ultra-Pure Water systems. The engineer will be responsible for design, construction, and commissioning oversight, ensuring that projects meet high standards of quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support and oversight for the design, construction, and commissioning of Ultra-Pure Water systems.
  • Review design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate equipment configuration and distribution routing in 3D models for functionality and maintenance.
  • Validate engineering calculations and review equipment/component submittals in coordination with O&M staff.
  • Review and validate construction RFI responses and shop drawings.
  • Conduct field engineering QA during construction and provide commissioning support.
  • Enter system information into capacity planning software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
  • At least 8+ years of experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment or similar industrial facilities.
  • Mid-level or higher engineering experience with large project greenfield design/construction.
  • Experience in Ultra-Pure Water system design and semiconductor facilities preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (or CAD file reader) and/or Revit, BioWIN, Pipe-Flow, Visual Hydraulics software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer registration may be required.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical facilities and chemical plants is a significant plus.
