About the position

ATI is currently seeking an Ultrasonic (QA) Supervisor to join our facility located in Appleton, WI. This position is responsible for supervising hourly employees on the assigned weekend shift (Friday to Sunday, 5am to 5pm) in the operation of the ultrasonic testing department. The Ultrasonic Supervisor will schedule manpower and equipment in the most efficient manner to meet testing and inspection needs while adhering to customer schedules and minimizing costs. This role will also expand to cover other areas as needed, ensuring the safety of employees on the worksite. The supervisor will engage with employees to identify safety hazards and work collaboratively with the management team, hourly workforce, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to eliminate these hazards. The role involves supervising hourly employees in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) area to ensure compliance with customer and ATI specifications. The Ultrasonic Supervisor will oversee the ultrasonic testing of forgings to ensure they conform to customer specification requirements. In addition, the supervisor will maintain and train a workforce to perform NDT testing consistent with quality requirements in a cost-effective manner. Coordination of scheduling manpower and equipment will be done using Department Scheduling dashboards, and participation in various Production Control meetings is expected. The supervisor will work with other area leaders to maintain equipment preventative maintenance schedules and assist the NDT Senior Leader in identifying process improvements and capital expenditures that will reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance ATI Forged Product's competitiveness. Compliance with ATI Forged Product's quality requirements will be assured through the application of ISO 9002/AS9100 systemic procedures and work instructions, as well as adherence to all customer and NADCAP NDT checklist requirements. The supervisor will ensure the highest level of safety and good housekeeping in the work environment through the implementation of the ATI Forged Product's Safety Program and by setting a personal example. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies is also a critical aspect of this role. Other job duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees in the ultrasonic testing department on assigned weekend shift.

• Supervise compliance with customer and ATI specifications in the NDT area.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in the supervision of hourly employees.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9002/AS9100A.
• Current ultrasonic Level II certification.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
