About the position

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound studies, utilizing ultrasound equipment with good judgment. This role involves assessing findings from ultrasound examinations and assisting radiologists and physicians in interpreting these studies. The position is part-time and requires working during the day from Monday to Friday, with every other weekend and holiday on call.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies using ultrasound equipment.
  • Assess findings from ultrasound examinations.
  • Assist radiologists and staff physicians in interpreting ultrasound studies.

Requirements

  • Two years of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, or four years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
  • Registry eligible per the criteria set forth by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Must take and pass the OB/GYN and Physics portion of the ARDMS within 15 months of date of hire.
  • Proficient in the English language.

Nice-to-haves

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
