The Ultrasound Technologist I position at Mercy Healthcare System involves performing ultrasound procedures with a level of technical expertise that does not require constant supervision. Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures independently and accurately.
• Evaluate images and ensure quality for diagnostic purposes.
• Manipulate ultrasound equipment, including mobile units.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Lift, move, and transport patients safely.
• Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of sonography or registered technologist.
• Registry eligible or possess one applicable registry with ARDMS or ARRT.
• Must achieve OB/GYN registry within 6 months of hire if applicable.
• In Arkansas, ARDMS certification as RVT or CCI certification as RVS required within 6 months of hire if applicable.
• Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and computers.
• Ability to evaluate images and adapt to stressful situations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hospital-based imaging environment.
• Additional certifications in related imaging fields.
