About the position

The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures under the supervision of various healthcare leaders, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves patient preparation, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols while actively participating in departmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
• Assesses pertinent information and prepares patients for procedures and expectations.
• Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing hospital and departmental information technology systems and equipment operations.
• Maintains productivity, adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness in managing workload and processes.
• Adheres to department policies and procedures and practices modality-specific safety protocols.
• Actively engages in departmental meetings, modality meetings, and committee initiatives.
• Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
• Participates in assignments and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program approved by CAAHEP or within six months of graduation.
• Two years of course work in a patient care related allied health field preferred.
• Current registration with ARDMS or ARRT (S) or registry eligible.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or equivalent.
• Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• ARDMS certification required within 2 years of hire.
