Fairfield County Protective Agency LLC (FCPA) is a rapidly growing security company located at 10 Progress Drive, Shelton, CT. With five years of experience in the industry, FCPA has established partnerships with numerous national security companies, providing essential support in the Connecticut area. As we expand our operations, we are looking to hire dedicated and professional security personnel to join our team. We are currently hiring for both unarmed and armed security guard positions, offering part-time and per diem opportunities with the potential for full-time employment. Armed Security Guards will start at a pay rate of $22.00 per hour, while Unarmed Security Guards will start at $17.00 per hour. To qualify for these positions, candidates must possess a valid Connecticut Guard Card for unarmed positions and a Blue Card for armed positions. Previous experience in security is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the environment.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
- Report any suspicious activity or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain a safe environment for clients and the public.
Requirements
- A valid Connecticut Guard Card for unarmed positions.
- A Blue Card for armed positions.
- Previous experience in security (minimum 1 year).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
