About the position

Urban Security is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to monitor and protect client premises during overnight shifts. The role involves surveillance, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism and authority while effectively managing security situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises by foot regularly to maintain and establish presence.
• Monitor entrance of people on properties.
• Make contact with wrongdoers or trespassers.
• Contact Law Enforcement, Medical, or Fire Department when needed (Call 911).
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
• Provide assistance when needed.
• Submit reports of daily activity and important occurrences.
• Maintain valid current certifications throughout employment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess, triage, and formulate and implement a plan of action.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Possession of a Guard Card (preferred).
