About the position

The Unarmed Security Officer - Truck Gate position is responsible for maintaining the security and accuracy of guests, visitors, and clients entering and leaving the facility. This role involves monitoring access points, logging truck movements, and ensuring a safe environment through patrols and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Logging inbound and outbound trucks.
• Controlling and limiting access to the facility at entry points, including visitor sign-in/out logs and issuing identification badges.
• Walking to and from the guard shack to trucks and being agile.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods when required.
• Using a keyboard to input information accurately and efficiently into software programs.
• Patrolling the interior and exterior of the property on foot.
• Monitoring and responding to emergencies, including medical, fire, and weather-related situations.
• Remaining awake, alert, and attentive while on duty.
• Handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Following verbal and written directions from client personnel and Prosegur Supervisory/Management personnel.
• Answering, screening, and routing phone calls to appropriate parties.
• Being courteous, polite, and professional in dealing with customers, employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Performing other security-related duties as assigned.
• Presenting a neat and well-groomed appearance.

Requirements

• At least 1-year prior Truck Gate Security Officer experience.
• At least 1-year Gate house officer experience.
• At least 1 year of Customer Service Experience.
• Computer savvy.
• State Issued Security License.
• Good time management skills.
• Punctuality.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to make common sense decisions and exercise action during high-tension and stressful situations.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Ability to pass a Company Drug test and Background check.
