About the position

We are looking to hire an unarmed security guard for several different vehicle patrol assignments we have in the area. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and secure environment. You will protect the premises, assets, and employees and prevent any illegal or inappropriate occurrences. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security and operates with a high degree of integrity at all times. This position requires the use of your own personal vehicle for patrol duties. As a Security Officer, you will be tasked with maintaining a high level of visibility while patrolling the premises. This includes monitoring entrances and exits to ensure that only authorized personnel access the facility. Daily reporting on activities and any security incidents will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all occurrences are documented accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• VALID IL PERC CARD
• 20 HR CERTIFICATION OF SECURITY TRAINING
• VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
• RELIABLE VEHICLE WITH UP TO DATE INSURANCE
• SMART PHONE WITH INTERNET ACCESS
• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
• Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability
• Ability to operate surveillance equipment
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
