About the position

The General Manager at Einstein Bros. Bagels is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's operations with a focus on creating a positive customer experience and maintaining a productive work environment. This role emphasizes a hands-on approach to leadership, ensuring that the store runs smoothly during operating hours, which are from 6am to 2pm. The General Manager will also be involved in training, recruiting, and developing team members while managing financial aspects such as food costs and labor targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of store operations with a 'treat it like you own it' philosophy.
• Ensure the store is audit ready and that catering/mobile/in-store orders are executed efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
• Manage team schedules, breaks, and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Conduct daily deposits and manage inventory and ordering processes.
• Participate in hands-on operations during busy periods, including breakfast and lunch rushes.
• Recruit and develop quality team members, fostering internal talent growth.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team while maintaining a fun work environment.
• Experience with P&L analysis and strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
