About the position
The Client Relations Manager at UNC Chapel Hill is responsible for enhancing the guest experience throughout the event planning and execution process. This role involves supporting a Senior Sales Manager and encompasses various tasks related to event sales, planning, and coordination, with the ultimate goal of transitioning into an autonomous Sales Manager role after gaining experience in the sales and operations departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely response and exceptional service to clients.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Prepare proposals and event orders with attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the event process.
- Facilitate the event process from consultation to execution.
- Assist with rental appointments and venue walkthroughs for events.
- Understand operations department intricacies to ensure successful event planning.
- Manage events and support the Operations team during preparation.
- Perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Set up, assist with execution, and clean up private tastings.
- Work events as an Event Manager, Bartender, or Server.
Requirements
- One year of experience in catering and/or event planning.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven capability and desire to provide exceptional service to clients and team members.
- Highly motivated self-starter with quick information processing skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
