About the position

The Undergraduate Structural Engineer position at Worley is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. The role involves assisting senior engineers in the design and analysis of structures for petrochemical facilities, while also supporting the development of engineering documentation and maintaining project files. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior structural engineers in the design and analysis of steel and concrete structures for petrochemical facilities.
  • Support the development of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing project documentation, including technical reports, design drawings, and vendor submittals.
  • Manage and maintain departmental documentation, including project files, drawings, specifications, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide general administrative support including responding to inquiries and performing data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and documents related to projects, clients, and company operations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills who is eager to learn and innovate to help solve technical and business challenges.
