About the position

The Underground Construction Supervisor at Kanaan Communications, LLC is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of aerial and underground telecommunication construction crews. This role requires extensive travel and focuses on ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and safety of telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. The supervisor will also facilitate communication among team members, contractors, and customers while addressing project issues and risks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment.
• Supervise day-to-day activities and project progress, ensuring compliance with project deliverables.
• Ensure excellent communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Identify and address project issues and risks, developing response plans as needed.
• Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues.
• Implement and maintain processes to support task completion.

Requirements

• Prior supervisory experience in telecommunications construction.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or advanced training preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• 1 or more years of project management experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass pre-employment checks.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with aerial lift devices and utility lines/poles.
• Experience with cable placement equipment and tools.
