At Risk Placement Services, we are more than just a team; we thrive on collaboration, creativity, and tackling challenges head-on. Our culture fosters an environment where every idea counts, and every individual's contribution matters. As an Underwriter/Broker, you will step into a world of excitement and innovation as we work with top-rated carriers to design robust coverage for our clients. This position can be remote or hybrid, allowing you the flexibility to work in a way that suits you best. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting, servicing, and handling assigned accounts. You will have production and service goals assigned to you and will be measured on your attainment of both. Your primary responsibility will be to underwrite individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty, adhering to guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis. You will evaluate the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, along with other pertinent information, to determine whether to accept, modify, or decline a risk. Frequent contact with the field will be necessary to gather information to base and defend your underwriting decisions.
