About the position

The Underwriter at CB Bank of Hope is responsible for underwriting loans by analyzing corporate and personal financials, conducting due diligence, and drafting credit memos. This role involves proactive management of the loan portfolio to monitor borrower performance and ensure compliance with covenants, as well as supporting corporate banking operations and loan operations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite loans by analyzing corporate and personal financials.
• Complete borrower and industry due diligence, including AML/KYC.
• Draft credit memos and spread financial statements.
• Create operating models to assist with credit analysis.
• Proactively manage the loan portfolio to monitor borrower financial performance and ensure covenant compliance.
• Support Corporate Banking Operations and Loan Operations to book new deals and maintain documentation in GlobalWave.
• Facilitate loan draws and repayments with syndicate banks for agented deals.
• Assist with episodic projects including internal and external audits, and credit policy and procedure review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proactive self-starter who responds promptly to customer needs and internal requests.
• Extensive decision-making and analytical skills to evaluate information and determine risks vs. benefits.
• Excellent communication skills, with comfort in group presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Benefits

• Salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus + benefits.
