About the position

The Central Underwriter at PLS Financial Services is responsible for underwriting auto insurance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and accurately processing commercial documents. This role emphasizes timely examination and data entry, while collaborating with store personnel and customers to secure necessary documentation for insurance quotes and sales.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Accurately enter application data into underwriting tool
• Adhere to all underwriting policies and procedures
• Ensure proper and correct decisions for applications submitted, focusing on response time and quality
• Gather all information required for insurance quotes and sales from the store and customer
• Present insurance quotes that best meet the customer's needs
• Ensure that all required documents are initialed and/or signed, and saved correctly with each completed sale
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 1-2 years of data entry and/or loan underwriting experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to meet production, quality and service standards
• Must be able to work evenings
• Ability to assess information with strong attention to detail
