As an Underwriter IV within PNC's Vendor Finance organization, you will be based in Cincinnati, OH. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. This position may be available in other locations across the footprint, or possibly in a remote capacity, contingent on business need. In this role, you will work independently with little or no oversight, exercising exception and elevated approval authority. You will prepare offerings for all types of transactions at any level of complexity or in management of a portfolio as assigned. Interacting with internal and external customers, you will provide recommendations for credit structuring and serve as a subject matter expert for certain asset classes. Additionally, you will coach, lead, and train other members of the group. Using independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, you will prepare offerings and/or scorecards, such as risk ratings, by analyzing credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties. If relevant, you will perform ongoing credit risk management for your assigned portfolio, coaching and reviewing the work of other underwriters and filling in for the manager as required. You will contact internal and external customers and other parties as appropriate to gather information and clarify any inconsistent, incorrect, or missing information. You may also perform relevant pre-approval and post-approval activities, ensuring that all external regulatory requirements are identified and confirmed, and that internal policies and procedures are followed. You will make recommendations on credit decisions or make credit decisions directly, as appropriate.
