About the position

The Underwriting Account Manager will coordinate and assist the Underwriting Team and agents with detailed accounts for a South Central Wisconsin client. This role involves supporting underwriters in various tasks related to new business applications, policy changes, and maintaining agent relationships, all within a supportive and rewarding work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Underwriters with accepting, declining, or amending new business applications, policy changes, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Assisting with reviewing inspections and following up with next steps or recommendations for risk improvement.
  • Assisting with examining existing accounts and taking appropriate action.
  • Assisting the Marketing and Agency Services departments with developing & maintaining good agent/agency relationships.
  • Contributing to department and processes development.
  • Learning, understanding, and interpreting company & industry forms.

Requirements

  • Prior Property/Casualty Insurance Experience
  • Advanced Knowledge of Computers, including proficiencies in MS Word and Excel
  • Proven Work Ethic
  • Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills
  • The ability to make decisions based on Company guidelines and goals.
