About The Position

The Underwriting Account Service Associate position at Zurich North America involves supporting experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks within the National Accounts - Construction Casualty Underwriting team. This role emphasizes the application of research and analytical skills to assess risk effectively, while also providing account servicing support for new business, renewals, and endorsements. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility in work schedules while requiring in-person presence in the office and marketplace three days a week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with no prior experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area, OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and no prior experience in the relevant fields, OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 or more years of experience in Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area.
• Knowledge of data collection and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and summarize risk exposures, controls, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions.
• Follow instructions from Underwriters regarding policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages & exclusions, and mandatory forms to accurately quote and issue policies.
• Provide account servicing support in collaboration with Underwriter and Manager for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
• Respond to written and verbal inquiries in a timely manner under supervision.
• Work collaboratively with assigned underwriters and support them in broker/agent/customer interactions.
